Build your launch plan from a readiness score
A good launch plan starts with an honest look at what is missing. Answer 20 yes, partly or no questions across five areas. You get a score out of 100, a breakdown by area and the one thing to fix first.
How the launch readiness score works
Each answer is worth 5 points for yes, 2 for partly and 0 for no. The five areas carry equal weight because a launch fails at its weakest link: a great video does nothing if nobody sees it, and a big creator wave does nothing if signup breaks.
- Product. Can a stranger try it and get the point in one session?
- Story. Is the launch message sharp enough to survive a fast scroll?
- Audience on X. Who will see the post in its first hour?
- Distribution. What pushes the post past your own followers?
- Launch day ops. Can the team run the day without improvising?
Turning the score into a product launch plan
Above 80, your plan is about amplification and timing. Between 55 and 80, spend two weeks on the weakest area before you fix the date. Below 55, follow the six week product launch timeline from the start and use the launch checklist to track it.
If distribution is the gap, that is the part most teams cannot build alone in a few weeks. The creator side of a launch is what Launch Within Reach focuses on, and it is the core of the X launch campaign we run.
