The launch lives on the founder account as a personal thread: why we built it, what it does, what we learned. The company account quotes it. For early AI startups without a brand audience, a person gets far more reach than a logo.
Anatomy of the launch
- 1Post 1. A personal hook: the problem the founder hit and the claim of what now exists.
- 2Post 2. Video or screenshots of the product working.
- 3Posts 3 to 6. How it works, who it is for, one surprising thing learned while building.
- 4Post 7. Ask: try it, reply with feedback, share with one person who needs it.
- 5Company quote. The brand account quotes with the link and launch perk.
When it works
- Founders who have posted about the problem for weeks before launch.
- Technical products where credibility comes from the builder.
- Small budgets: the cost is writing time.
Where it breaks
- The founder account is silent until launch day.
- The thread reads like a press release.
- Nobody is assigned to reply, so the conversation dies after an hour.
How to run it
- Start posting from the founder account at least four weeks out.
- Write the thread as a story, then cut it by a third.
- Ask ten friendly accounts to reply with real questions, not praise.
- Reply to every comment in the first three hours.
